Filled with the newest technology, the Cancer Care Center at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital has three floors completely dedicated to cancer care. We are recognized, with commendation, as a community cancer center by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. And we're an active member in good standing, with full rights and privileges, of the Association of Community Cancer Centers. We are ready and waiting to give you all the advantages of top cancer care right here at home.

Located in a tranquil setting, our Cancer Care Center is designed to relax you and make you feel comfortable during every phase of treatment. Chemotherapy suites have a serene view of the Nanticoke River. Intensity Modulation Radiation Therapy (IMRT) is performed in a soothing, comfortable atmosphere using a state-of-the-art linear accelerator. The latest in cancer treatment, IMRT allows our doctors to precisely target the cancer without hurting the surrounding healthy tissue.

Our staff is dedicated to providing you with quality care to help you recover quickly. Counseling services are available to make sure you learn all you can to help yourself while you undergo treatment:

  • Nutrition advice
  • Social services assistance
  • Enterostomal therapy
  • Pain management counseling
  • Wigs from the American Cancer Society and Women Supporting Women
  • Support services and consultation from the American Cancer Society, Women Supporting Women, The Wellness Community, Transitions and Hospice

The Nanticoke Cancer Care Center is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Call our Cancer Care Coordinator for help and support with navigating the health care system (302-629-6611, ext. 2577).

Medical Oncology and Hematology

A private practice within the Cancer Care Center, Medical Oncology and Hematology is where cancer and blood disorders are diagnosed and treated. It’s staffed by board-certified radiation oncologists, oncology-certified nurses, a phlebotomist and an office manager who understand your needs and meet them with expertise and compassion. Call 302-629-0260.

Radiation Oncology

The most advanced technology in radiation therapy—including IMRT—is supported by a staff that includes board-certified radiation oncologists, radiation therapists, dosimetrists, oncology-certified nurses, a professional administrative assistant and dedicated volunteers. Our progressive technology decreases unwanted side effects by increasing our accuracy in targeting tumors. Call 1-302-628-6344.
