Nanticoke Hospital offers maternity services and pre- and post-natal care to an ever-expanding number of families from Delaware and Maryland.

Comfortable, attractive private rooms are equipped to provide labor, delivery and recovery services in the same room. New moms may have their babies stay with them or, if they need a little extra rest, newborns can spend time in the nursery under the watchful, caring eyes of our experienced nursing staff.

Our maternity and child health services:

* Are equipped to handle high-risk pregnancies and deliveries
* Provide support for natural childbirths
* Offer a full range of pain management options including epidurals
* Are staffed with Registered Nurses who are certified in neonatal resuscitation and monitoring
* Promotes breastfeeding


Offers a complete range of prenatal education, including classes on childbirth, labor and delivery, infant CPR, breastfeeding, sibling preparation, and the Safe Sitter® program (a national nonprofit organization that teaches adolescent babysitters how to be good babysitters and handle crises if they arise)
