Established in 1987, Occupational Health partners with area employers to promote safety and health of the occupational community through education, preventive measures, and collaborative programs.
Our Vision to be a leader, an expert resource, and an efficient provider of occupational health services is supported by the resources of Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. Staff consists of trained technicians, nurses, and Advanced Practice Nurses specializing in Occupational & Environmental Health.
Located at 300 Health Service Drive on the beautiful Mears Campus (Rt. 13A) in Seaford, Delaware, we offer prompt scheduling, walk-in hours for drug and alcohol testing, timely communication of results, and maintenance of confidential records.

Physical Examinations

  • Pre-placement
  • Periodic surveillance exams (i.e. asbestos, lead, carbon monoxide)
  • DOT Certified & School Bus Driver
  • Sports Physicals for adolescents
  • Other specialty groups (i.e. Coast Guard, Federal Aviation, Fire Department)

Medical Surveillance

We assist employers to establish and administrate programs that comply with OSHA regulations.

  • Audiograms
  • Pulmonary Function Test
  • Post Exposure Testing for chemicals or potential blood-borne pathogens
  • Blood Pressure monitoring

Drug & Breath Alcohol Screening

As a member of the Drug & Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA), we provide certified DOT collectors and a variety of NDOT options to include rapid tests, e-Screen, and forensic testing with a Medical Review Officer (MRO).

  • Pre-employment, periodic random, discretionary, post-accident AND on-call services available to support your Drug Free Workplace
  • DOT Consortium available
  • Random program administration available
  • Specimen collection site for any laboratory or Third Party Administrator (TPA)

Special Testing & Services

  • Blood and urinalysis
  • Diagnostic tests (i.e. chest xray, spine xray)
  • Electrocardiograms (EKC)
  • Immunizations: Tetanus, hepatitis B, Influenza, MMR, Varicella (chicken pox), & Meningococcal. We can coordinate immunizations for worksite groups.
  • Tuberculosis Screening

Physicals, medical surveillance, and immunizations by appointment. Drug and alcohol testing available on a walk-in basis Monday-Friday 8 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.
