WHAT IS MEDICAL ONCOLOGY?
Medical Oncology is a branch of medicine that treats cancer with drugs by killing or slowing the growth of the cancer. Chemotherapy is typically used.
Medical oncologists are doctors that help patients understand their diagnosis and treatments options, and recommend specific treatment options. Medical Oncologists often oversee the care of a patient. They also help manage pain or discomfort.

Nanticoke Cancer Care Center is staffed with board-certified Oncologists and Hematologists, providing care for all types of cancers.
Treatment options include infusion services, with chemotherapy and hydration therapies with chemotherapy suites offering a serene view of the Nanticoke River.
Additionally a Nurse Navigator and a Care Coordinator are available to help guide you through the system and assist you in finding all the support services you need.
