Thank a Police Officer Day – September 16, 2017
NANTICOKE COLLECTING THANK YOU CARDS FOR LOCAL POLICE OFFICERS
As part of national “Thank a Police Officer Day” on September 16, Nanticoke Health Services is collecting thank you cards from community members for local police officers. “Thank a Police Officer Day” was created in 2012 by the Whole Truth Project and is observed nationally as an opportunity for the community to come together to show its appreciation.
Delmarva Supports Law Enforcement is a group that coordinates the adoption of local police departments by individuals and businesses. Nanticoke is excited to take part in this event and is collecting thank you cards for the following law enforcement agencies: Blades, Bridgeville, Delmar, Federalsburg, Georgetown, Laurel, Rehoboth, Seaford, Delaware State Police (DSP) Troop 5 in Bridgeville, and DSP Troop 4 in Georgetown.
Thank you notes will be collected from September 1 through September 13 at the following Nanticoke locations: Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Cancer Care Center, Seaford Health Pavilion, Laurel Immediate Care, and Georgetown Immediate Care. Seaford City Hall will also be collecting thank you cards. You can bring your own card or use the blank notecards and pens that will be provided at each location. If you would like your note to go to a specific agency, please specify which one on your card. If you are unable to visit one of the collection sites, you can submit a thank you note online at www.nanticoke.org/givethanks.
Nanticoke would like to thank everyone who will participate for helping us give back to those that protect us every day. Together we can make a difference in our community and positively impact our community’s quality of life.
