Nanticoke Memorial Hospital will host their 33rd annual golf tournament on Thursday, September 19 and Friday, September 20 at Heritage Shores in Bridgeville. Thursday’s tournament will be the Ladies Day and Friday’s tournament will be the traditional tournament open to men and women.
Participants will enjoy a fun-filled day at Heritage Shores, an Arthur Hills classic links-style course. Both days will consist of practice, 18-holes of golf, delicious food, and gross and net team prizes.
Proceeds from both tournaments will benefit The Allen Cancer Center at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.
As many know, Nanticoke continues to grow and evolve. We expect many great changes to come, but one thing that doesn’t change is or mission to provide the best possible healthcare to our community. This includes continuing the great care provided to patients at The Allen Cancer Center .
Delaware ranks 16th in the nation in total cancer deaths. Sussex County continues to have a higher incidence for both breast and lung cancer compared to the National average! The Allen Cancer Center at Nanticoke provides, and will continue to provide, nearly 10,000 treatments annually. The healthy environment established at The Allen Cancer Center allows providers to give compassionate and supportive care vital to every cancer patient, no matter their journey.
The proceeds from the tournaments not only benefit The Allen Cancer Center, but more specifically, the more importantly directly helps and support our patients diagnosed with cancer and their families. So please join us in fighting this life-altering disease by supporting this year’s tournaments and hopefully, someday Delaware will rank last in cancer deaths!
Your support will impact many lives within our communities and together we can make a difference, one stroke at a time. For more information, contact Tracy Fiori at 302-536-5390 or FioriC@nanticoke.org.
