Always Caring. Always Here.

COLLECTION OF SIGNED PRINTS BY “HEROES FOR HEALTH” AMONG FEATURED ITEMS AT NANTICOKE’S 33RD ANNUAL DINNER AUCTION

Put on your best polyester suit, crank up the jams on your 8-track player, and purchase your tickets for the 33rd Annual Nanticoke Health Services Dinner Auction, “Boogie Night,” being held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Heritage Shores in Bridgeville.

Before the disco music starts, do us a solid and bid on these totally radical auction items including a collection of signed prints by DC and Marvel Universe actors such as Henry Cavill, Jason Momoa, Stephen Amell, Christian Bale, Melissa Benoist, Tom Holland, and, Excelsior himself, the late Stan Lee!

Special thanks to the Kim and Evans Family Foundation, Inc. for donating these prints signed by “Heroes for Health.” Joseph Kim, DO, FAAFP, a family physician in Laurel, and his wife, Nicole Evans, Esquire, formed their Foundation in 2018 to better the lives of disadvantaged people in Sussex County and beyond.

Did you know Delaware ranks 16th in the nation in total cancer deaths? Sussex County continues to have a higher incidence of breast and lung cancer as compared to the National average. Therefore, proceeds from “Boogie Night” will again benefit the Allen Cancer Center at Nanticoke. Dr. Kim’s passion for eradicating cancer was made clear when he said, “It is imperative we continue to fight this insidious disease by supporting our Cancer Center. The proceeds [from the Dinner Auction] will directly help our community, the patients diagnosed with cancer and the families devastated by it.”

The Allen Cancer Center, accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, combines a loving environment with quality of care delivered by a team of compassionate experts. The Allen Cancer Center treats patients living in Sussex County and surrounding areas, allowing them to receive lifesaving cancer treatment in Seaford. Each year, the Cancer Center provides nearly 10,000 cancer treatments, including some 5,000 infusion treatments.

Businesses and individuals can support the Dinner Auction through sponsorship and/or donating items for the live and silent auctions. Sponsorship packages and additional information is available online at www.nanticoke.org/auction, or by contacting the Nanticoke Health Foundation at 302-536-5390 or fioric@nanticoke.org. The mission of the Foundation is to assist Nanticoke Health Services in positively impacting our communities’ quality of life through improved health status.

Tickets are available for $125 per person. The 33rd Annual Dinner Auction is going to be fun to the max! Don’t miss it!
