Do you know a deserving young person? Someone who has worked hard to overcome challenge? Or maybe a young person who could use a little extra encouragement? Nanticoke Health Services is offering a once-in-a-lifetime chance for one lucky local youth to have a special meet and greet with Baltimore Ravens Linebacker Matt Judon at this year’s Heart of Good Health: A Community Health Event & Partner Expo on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm at Laurel High School.
Nominees for the Nanticoke Grants a Wish meet and greet must be a Delmarva resident between the ages of 5 and 16. The deadline for nominations is Friday, March 1. To submit your nomination, visit www.nanticoke.org/healthfair and fill out the form under the “Nanticoke Grants a Wish” section.
The mission of the Heart of Good Health is to provide the Western Sussex County community with education and information on many aspects of living a healthy lifestyle. There will be healthy living demonstrations and many activities for the entire family throughout the day. Health professionals will be on hand and several health screenings will be available. Vendors will include many health care providers, other non-profit organizations and private businesses that provide services for the community.
Nanticoke would like to thank the Laurel School District and the Laurel and Western Sussex communities for their continued support of this great event. Last year’s event was a huge success! Nanticoke would also like to thank our sponsors: Fabulously Fit Sponsors – Nanticoke Medical Staff and the Kim and Evans Family Foundation; and Eating Right Sponsors – La Raza 100.3 and Maxima 95.3 of The Voice Radio Network, and Delaware 2-1-1.
