On Thursday, March 28, 2019, representatives from the Seaford House for Teens presented a shadow box to the Emergency Department at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. The shadow box was created by local teens to show their appreciation to the Emergency Department for everything that they have done to support the Seaford House.

The Seaford House is a temporary home and day treatment center for local adolescents affiliated with Children and Families First that provides a safe environment for youth to grow and flourish. The Seaford House was established in 1983 due to the overwhelming need for 24-hour adolescent care. Before the Seaford House was built, all adolescents in need or residential care had to travel to Governor Bacon located in Delaware City. The Seaford House collaborates with the Seaford School District to allow its youth to attend public school and has partnerships with medical and health programs to attend to their physical and emotional health.
