Always Caring. Always Here.

Western Sussex FOP Lodge #9 and Seaford Police Department Fight Against Breast Cancer

During the month of October, the men and women of the Seaford Police Department supported Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Through a collaborative effort between Western Sussex FOP Lodge #9 and the Seaford Police Department, Officers with the Seaford Police Department were permitted a temporary uniform change… HATS! The officers wore a baseball style hat with a PINK Seaford Police Patch on it. In addition to the uniform change, the hats were available for sale for only $15.00 with proceeds to benefit the Allen Cancer Care Center at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.

On Wednesday, October 31st, Police Chief Kracyla along with several officers and members of SPD presented a check in the amount of $1,000 to Nanticoke. Chief Kracyla stated, “The Seaford Police Department in collaboration with the Western Sussex County FOP Lodge #9 are proud to support the Nanticoke Health Foundation’s work in providing resources to positively impact the mission of the Foundation and the Community.”  Special thanks to all who helped with this fundraiser and also to those who purchased hats, which sold out! Nanticoke is grateful for the partnership and for the officers who serve and protect our community every day!
