Mother & Baby Care

WELCOME TO OUR FAMILY!

As an expecting parent, the staff from the Mother & Baby Care Center at Nanticoke welcomes you to our family. We provide safe, compassionate, family-focused, and culturally sensitive care to each of the families we serve.

You can rely on us to be one of your most trusted health care partners throughout your pregnancy, during your labor and delivery process, and for years to come.

As you prepare for the arrival of the newest member of your family, you are sure to have a lot of questions. If this is your first child, you may be wondering where to start and how to prepare.

We’re here to help you every step of the way. Be sure to do your homework and find the physicians, hospital and health care team that best fits your family.

Room-In with Baby

During your stay at Nanticoke, moms will be offered the opportunity to have their baby stay with them in their room verses being taken to the nursery. While we know this option is not for everyone, it is an option that promotes bonding with the newest member of your family.

Healthy Sleep – Play Positions for Baby

The American Academy of Pediatrics endorses the Back to Sleep, Tummy to Play campaign. This campaign raises awareness for newborns. All healthy babies should sleep on their backs. During supervised play time, babies can be placed on their tummy.
