Our goal is to give you the self-management skills to control your diabetes. Family members/significant others are welcome to attend the weekly sessions. Alzheimer's Support Group
Place: LifeCare at Loftland Park

This group provides support and information about Alzheimer’s and Dementia to families, caregivers and anyone who is affected by this Disease. Refreshments will be provided.

Defensive Driving - Advanced

Beginning Your Pink Ribbon Journey
Place: Cancer Care Center - 1st Floor Resource Library

The “Beginning Your Pink Ribbon Journey” programs help connect women with local resources and professional staff at the area’s cancer centers to address their concerns and get the support they need. The programs will be offered monthly, in each county, in partnership with a local hospital. This program is free to breast cancer survivors and their caregivers. Parkinson's Disease Support Group
Place: Nanticoke Senior Center: 1001 West Locust Street, Seaford

Time:
10:00 AM - 11:30 AM

The goal of this group is to help members learn more about the disease, possible treatments, and resources available to help them. In addition, monthly meetings will allow attendees to offer support to one another through small group sessions and hear guest speakers discuss a variety of topics related to Parkinson’s Disease. Participating in education/support groups is essential for coping with an illness such as Parkinson's Disease or other disorders that impair bodily movement. Studies show that the information, training, and counseling that participants receive while attending support group sessions enhances the quality of life, helps to alleviate stress, and may even boost the immune system. This group meets the third Monday of each month at the Nanticoke Senior Center from 10:00 am to 11:30 am. Cancer Support Group
Place: Cancer Care Center - 1st Floor Resource Library

The Wellness Community - Delaware offers a general cancer support group for people affected by cancer and their loved ones. The ongoing monthly support group meets in the first floor resource library of the Cancer Care Center on the third Monday of each month.

A.W.A.K.E. is a support and information group for people with sleep apnea and related sleep disorders, as well as their families and friends. This group is part of the American Sleep Association’s A.W.A.K.E. nationwide network. You can visit the A.S.A. website at www.sleepapnea.org. We supply support through education, information and idea sharing. Together we can help each other with similar interests, problems and solutions.
