NANTICOKE HEALTH SERVICES NAMED ONE OF THE BEST PLACES TO WORK IN HEALTHCARE

For the second year in a row, Nanticoke Health Services is pleased to announce that it has been named to the 2012 Becker's Hospital Review/ Becker's ASC Review list of the Best 100 Places to Work in Healthcare. The 2012 list was developed through nominations and research. Recipients are selected for their demonstrated excellence in providing a work environment that promotes teamwork, professional development, and quality patient care. Recipients come from hospitals, health systems, surgery centers, and large physician practices.

What makes Nanticoke Health Services a Best 100 Place to Work? Employing 1,100 employees across three entities, Nanticoke has implemented several tools to communicate with its many providers, including a monthly newsletter, required staff meetings, regular town halls, and a CEO blog posted on the employee intranet. An objective online performance evaluation tool is used to give evaluations a shorter turnaround time and provide clearer, standardized feedback. Nanticoke’s active Employee Activity Committee plans regular events to promote staff bonding.
