CT Scan
Nanticoke Memorial Hospital offers state of the art scanning capabilities on our Aquillon 16 slice CT scanner located at the hospital or the Aquillion 64 slice CT scanner located at Nanticoke Health Pavilion Seaford (100 Rawlins Drive, Seaford). These scanners offer quicker scan times with low radiation dose protocols.
With the 64 slice CT scanner, Nanticoke offers calcium scoring of the heart which is low dose, painless and fast to demonstrate calcium in the coronary arteries. It also offers cardiac angiography (CCTA), which provides even more diagnostic information for heart disease.

PET Imaging
PET imaging offers insight of the metabolism of cells using a small radioactive sugar tracer (FDG). This ability to characterize areas, using metabolic activity, narrows the differential diagnosis and improves the accuracy for staging malignancies. PET/CT combines the advantages of molecular imaging with precise anatomic localization enhancing the ability to pinpoint the location of specific lesions.
Nuclear Medicine
Our GE Infinia Dual Detector Gamma camera with elite detectors provides the broadest coverage for larger patients and delivers state-of-the-art images that are automatically ready for rapid review for radiologists, meaning faster results and response. This dual detector system meets all needs, including standing, seated, wheelchair and stretcher scanning positions. Optimal image quality is also obtained with its infrared body contouring system allowing minimal distance between the patient and the detector and providing superb image quality.
